After five long years, the Astros have finally won the World Series again. This is not vindication, nothing needed to be proved, the Astros just showed everyone they are the best team in baseball - and have been for years.

This is a dynasty, from top to bottom. What was started when Jim Crane took over in 2011 has turned into a monster of a franchise over the past decade. 16 of the 26 players on the World Series roster are considered homegrown (as in either signed as an international free agent or drafted). That is 61% of the roster! To me, that shows a team that knows how to find talent and build from it.

I am just so proud of this team and the adversity and anger they fought through to get to this point. Something that I have been adamant about on Twitter is how far reaching the Astros fandom is. I created a post where I had people share where they celebrated the win, and I got some incredible results:

People love this team and have been waiting for years. I got choked up watching these myself. Houston is a baseball town, and it’s been becoming that more and more since 2017. And here’s the truth, the Astros aren’t done yet.

Out of the 26 players from the World Series roster, 19 will be returning. Those are names like McCullers, Altuve, Bregman, Alvarez, Tucker and more. The squad is still very strong. The window is not closing and won’t be closing for years.

I am just so excited and will be enjoying this moment for a long time. I put together a quick video showcasing the win with some celebrations included.

I wanted to keep this newsletter short, but I will be posting more throughout the off-season to keep you up to date on any major news about the Astros. Things like, will Dusty Baker or James Click return? Will Justin Verlander or Yuli Gurriel come back? Any major trades or free agent signings?
