Every January, like a train wreck I embark on the obligatory New Year’s resolutions. I say train wreck, because these resolutions barely make it past the first two weeks of the new year. I am clearly just wired different, I wish I were that person, disciplined and an air of I have my shit together, alas those are not qualities that define my character but I do know 8 beauty editors who have a stronger sense of resolve and commitment, and who were kind enough to share their beauty resolutions, read that here (only resolutions in my life).
But one thing, I can get on board with this trend of “my 2024 ins and outs”. Instead of traditional New Year’s resolutions, TikTok and Instagram users are posting their “In and Out” lists, a list of things that they’re taking into the New Year and things they’re leaving behind in 2023. It feels slightly less resolutiony, its cooler cousin, more forgiving and less demanding. Presenting my “In and Out” list for 2024 but the beauty edition.
