One of my favorite things about writing romance series, is that I get to create different worlds for readers to get lost in. I love small towns and all the charm that comes with living in a small community.
The characters and the scenery and the comfort!
I like to create towns that feel like home, and families that are relatable and fun and always entertaining. I have five siblings of my own, and there is truly nothing better than having built in besties and endless sibling banter.
I like my romance with a good mix of emotion and angst and a healthy dose of heat and humor to balance things out. When I feel like things are getting too heavy, I like to throw in a funny scene between the hero and the heroine, or a hilarious family group text to lighten things up.
It’s sort of like life…we need a good mix of all the feels!
That’s what I hope you find in the pages of my books! I am currently writing the Cottonwood Cove series and it follows the five Reynolds siblings: Hugh, Georgia, Brinkley, Finn and Cage! Each sibling will get their own happily ever after, all while being supported by one another!
Into the Tide is out in the world now. If you like a brother’s best friend, workplace romance with a swoony hero and a fierce heroine—you can grab it HERE: Read Into the Tide
Under the Stars is releasing next month and I am so excited for this one to be out in the world. Maddox and Georgia are the perfect Grumpy/Sunshine mix, and I had the best time writing their story. Their banter is…EVERYTHING!! Here’s a sneak peek from Under the Stars releasing on May 18th!!
“I will not let you ruin my date tonight with your sour attitude. I’m leaving. You will have to answer your own phone and go downstairs and grab your dinner. I’m off the clock, Bossman,” I hissed.
He appeared in the doorway so fast I jumped out of my chair. “Is that what you’re wearing?”
“No. I’m going to wear something extra sexy,” I said, plastering a big smile on my face as I slipped on my coat.
“Well, don’t wear anything too revealing. We have that meeting tomorrow with Arthur Hobbs, and I can’t have you in there if you’re sick.” He crossed his arms over his chest.
“I’m not sick. I’ll be there.”
“If you stay out late and you aren’t here on time, that helicopter will leave without you,” he said, his voice dark and angry as he moved closer to me and tugged my coat closed at the top.
“Have I ever been late?” I raised a brow. “Do you have a problem with me going on a date?”
His lips pursed, and he scoffed. “Why the fuck would I care if you went on a date?”
“I don’t know, Bossman. You seem a little irritated.” I glanced down at his hands on my coat.
He let go of me and took a step back. “I’m irritated when people don’t do their job.”
“And I’m irritated when people give me whiplash.” I grabbed my purse and stormed away from him, heading for the door.
“That makes no sense. Remember, sometimes less is more, Tink!” he shouted, and I made my way down the stairs.
Less is more, my ass.
He was a pompous, arrogant jerk, and I was not going to let him ruin my night.
Pre-Order Under the Stars HERE
BLURB:
My new assistant is all smiles and sunshine—and she’s about to set fire to my cold, grumpy heart.
I've moved to this god-forsaken small town to run the family business.
I need to hire a new PA and the pickings are slim.
Some say my irrational expectations are the reason I've gone through assistants quicker than most people refill their coffee.
Incompetence is my pet peeve.
If that makes me irrational, so be it.
Then Georgia Reynolds walks into my office.
Blonde hair.
Sapphire eyes.
And a smart mouth that irritates me as much as it turns me on.
On top of being a rockstar at her job, she is a ray of freaking sunshine on steroids.
I have no patience for it.
Nor for the way she flutters around the office like a modern-day Tinkerbell.
She has ridiculous taste in music.
Drives an unreasonable form of transportation.
And did I mention that I caught her dancing in my closet when I sent her on a simple errand?
My new assistant has somehow become my kryptonite.
But I am her boss, and I am not going to be a pathetic cliché.
It doesn’t matter that my cold, jaded heart has started beating again.
In my world, a beating heart makes you weak.
And I do not tolerate weaknesses.
